Rolf Kempf: Bio

After writing the Alice Cooper Rock Anthem, "Hello, Hurray", Rolf Kempf began to evolve a style the moves through original rock, blues, jazz, pop and world music.

Performing live with vocals, guitar, piano, and keyboards, improvisation is a major element in the show, although older songs have a more predictable format. Recording is primarily live off the floor at his studio, with the occasional overdub of slide guitar or violin. The many CD's are available through CDBaby. In summer, 2014, "Hello, Hurray", the Cooper version, appeared close to the beginning of the movie, "X-Men: Days of Future Past". Most recently, Rolf has been inducted into the Canadian Songwriters' Hall of Fame for this classic tune.
